How to join Northforge

Northforge is a free Minecraft MMORPG survival server for Java and Bedrock. Both editions play in the same world with the same loot. No mods, no modpack, no account on our side.

Java Edition (PC, Mac, Linux)

1. Start Minecraft Java Edition 1.21.x. Older clients can usually join too, thanks to ViaVersion.
2. Click Multiplayer → Add Server.
3. Server address: playnorthforge.com
4. Join and accept the resource pack. It makes custom loot, loot beams and gear look right.

Bedrock Edition (Windows, phone, tablet)

1. Open Minecraft Bedrock and go to Play → Servers.
2. Scroll down and tap Add Server.
3. Address: playnorthforge.com, port: 19132
4. Save and join. You land in the same world as Java players.

Xbox, PlayStation and Nintendo Switch

Consoles hide custom servers. Use a connector such as BedrockConnect: it lets you open a server list on your console, where you enter playnorthforge.com with port 19132. Check the BedrockConnect instructions for your console's DNS setup.

After you join

• Type /start: it sends you into your first delve, Frostfang Burrow.
• Pick a class path: Warden, Ranger, Runesage or Berserker.
• Join the Discord for groups, drops and patch notes. Simple Voice Chat is optional for dungeon groups.
• Vote daily to earn in-game tokens.

Troubleshooting

• "Outdated client" on Java: update to 1.21.x if an older version doesn't connect.
• Items look like plain vanilla gear: you declined the resource pack. Edit the server entry and set Server Resource Packs to Enabled.
• Bedrock can't connect: double-check port 19132, not the Java port.
